Finance Manager – High Growth Fintech (Payments)

Pearse Portfolio has partnered exclusively with a market leading technology unicorn ($1bn+ valuation), within their payments business, as they look to grow their UK presence with a vital Finance Manager hire. The company looks to continue rapidly scaling with offices across Europe and by strategically launching new product lines.

The Role:

The corporation is in the process of building a Payments organisation, involved in the movement of billions of funds across their marketplace. Creating an integrated organisational structure by streamlining core operations.

Their experienced CFO, who has a track record of successfully scaling businesses across the fintech space, is searching for a hands-on Finance Manager to play a key regulatory and strategic role in the Payments business licensed in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to both management and the regulators
  • Maintain effective controls and processes around the safeguarding of customer funds, including oversight of reconciliation activities performed by the wider group
  • Monitor capital adequacy and produce required reports for regulatory submission.
  • Develop, update, and maintain documentation covering financial compliance, safeguarding procedures, and reporting frameworks.
  • Act as a key point of contact for regulators (primarily the FCA) and external auditors
  • Track developments in UK financial regulation and implement updates to reporting processes to ensure continued compliance.
  • Oversee the application of transfer pricing arrangements across subsidiaries.
  • Provide support on financial compliance matters across additional European jurisdictions.
  • Collaborate with finance team members on a range of ongoing and ad hoc projects.
  • Continuous process improvement and automation projects.
Experience:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)

  • Experience in a similar fintech environment

  • Experience working with the FCA

  • Extremely ambitious with a desire to keep learning

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • High attention to detail
